Customer Engineer, AI/ML, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with frameworks for deep learning (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, Jax, Ray, etc.), AI accelerators (e.g. TPUs, GPUs), model architectures (e.g. encoders, decoders, transformers) and using machine learning APIs.
  • Experience with machine learning model development and deployment.
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in building machine learning solutions and leveraging specific machine learning architectures (e.g. deep learning, Load Shedding and Traffic Management (LSTM), convolutional networks).
  • Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience in data and information management related to big data trends and issues within businesses.
  • Ability to work with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.

In this role, you will serve as an AI/ML subject matter expert, collaborating with the technical Sales team to showcase the value of Google Cloud to customers. You will design innovative cloud solutions, conduct proofs-of-concept and address technical issues to meet business needs. With your expertise and presentation skills, you will help customers understand how Google Cloud can solve their issues. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities, qualify their potential, understand critical customer technical objections and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share in-depth AI/ML expertise to support customer technical relationships, managing technology advocacy, aiding bid responses, delivering product and solution briefings, leading proof-of-concept initiatives and collaborating directly with product management to prioritize solutions that accelerate customer adoption of Google Cloud.
  • Build and prototype integrations between Google Cloud products and customer or partner environments
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
  • Facilitate Google Cloud's engagement by traveling to customer sites, conferences and other related events as needed.
