- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in partnerships, business development, management consulting or investment banking, with experience in education or education technology.
- 2 years of experience working in higher education or with higher education institutions in a partnerships, sales or management consulting role.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or other advanced degree.
- Experience managing partnerships.
- Understanding of AI.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
As a Strategic Partner Development Lead, you will focus on our most strategic and complex education partners. You will bring together a cohesive outlook for the partnership across Google by understanding both the partners’ and Google’s strategic priorities, and developing cross-functional plans to increase the value for both Google and our partners, and ultimately educators.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$204,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Build and execute a partnership strategy that identifies, prioritizes, and builds the engagement and partnership structure for top partners that enable adoption of Gemini for Education at educational institutions.
- Develop and nurture a rich ecosystem of partners, including NGOs, non-profits, GTM partners, research and policy partners, and others critical to the success of Gemini at educational institutions.
- Establish deep, strategic partnerships with 3 -5 partners, with the primary objective of driving meaningful adoption of Gemini for teaching, learning, and research.
- Act as a executive leader and advocate for Gemini in the global academic community, building strong relationships with thought leaders across the ecosystem.
- Serve as a critical voice providing partner feedback to shape the product roadmap and creating the playbook for scaling Gemini adoption and establishing it as the leading AI platform for education.
