Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience in global marketing programs.
- 2 years of experience managing people or teams.
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's Degree, or MBA, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry (e.g., streaming video/audio, TV, film, publishing, sports media).
- Experience in marketing for Media and Entertainment apps or platforms, particularly in areas like subscription growth, churn reduction, content marketing, or partner marketing.
- Experience in omni-channel marketing campaigns.
- Experience with product launches and driving product adoption at scale.
- Understanding of digital content ecosystems, platform dynamics, and monetization models (Subscription, Ad-supported, IAP) relevant to MandE.

The Play store serves over two billion users in 190 markets and is a critical driver of Google's overall business growth. Within Play, the Media and Entertainment (MandE) category, encompassing streaming video, music, books, news, sports, and emerging formats like Drama Shorts is strategically vital for user engagement and ecosystem growth. The Apps Go-To-Market (GTM) team creates marketing programs that cultivate valuable relationships with various user base and help them get the most out of Play.Responsibilities
- Define and lead the GTM strategy for Play's MandE app category, drive user adoption, engagement, and spend.
- Lead research to generate deep insights into MandE user needs, behaviors, content consumption patterns across platforms, and discovery tests.
- Collaborate with and influence executive leaders and regional teams to build and execute integrated GTM plans. Define requirements, advocate for product features and platform capabilities to address MandE developer and user pain points.
- Define, track, and analyze key MandE category performance indicators related to spend, engagement, churn, and developer satisfaction. Utilize data analysis and experimentation to test hypotheses, optimize GTM programs, and make data-driven recommendations to achieve category objectives and key results.
- Act as the key GTM expert and represent the MandE category, influence product roadmaps and partner strategies.
