Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in business development or operations.
- 4 years of experience at technology or platform companies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the payments, online commerce, or AI/agentic payments sectors.
- Ability to grasp product concepts and drive partner growth initiatives with technical aptitude.
- Ability to grow in a changing, ambiguous, and collaborative environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to discuss and execute agreements, managing legal, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and people-management skills for articulating business and financial points to partners and internal teams.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
This is a pivotal role where you will lead business development and product go-to-market efforts for Google Pay, Google Wallet, and future AI-driven payment initiatives. You will work with partners, including Merchants, Payment Service Providers, and E-Commerce Platforms.
In this role, you will try new solutions (e.g., A2A, AP2, MCP), adapt, and quickly course-correct as needed. You will navigate organizations and work across multiple product areas within Google to develop creative solutions for partner business tests. You will need to be proficient in discussion and renewals for "first-of-kind" partnerships, representing Google with C-level executives.
You will collaborate closely with Product and cross-functional teams to validate product and market assumptions, and will also help shape next-generation payment products and solutions, and define the overall go-to-market strategy. This will involve launching and securing critical partnerships to realize Google's consumer payments goal.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Responsibilities
- Guide payments strategy and develop future business generation models for key e-commerce platforms and merchants, defining both AI-driven and traditional user journeys in collaboration with cross-functional leaders.
- Execute commercial agreements, addressing critical data rights, regulatory obligations, and technical requirements by managing trade-offs with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage a portfolio of partners, cultivating C-level relationships to drive growth initiatives and exceed key business goals, such as transaction volume.
- Serve as the partner internally, translating partner needs into actionable feedback that informs product decisions and business model development.
- Drive business analysis and deliver data-driven recommendations to executive leadership on performance indicators, technology trends, and dynamics.
