Head of Studio and Sports Partnerships, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in agreement negotiation.
  • 10 years of experience in the media industry.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or JD.
  • Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with legal teams to sign and manage agreements.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative agreement strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, and presentation skills with the ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to rigorously structure, analyze, and solve business problems, as well as deliver impact against concrete business goals.

About the job

As Head of Studios and Sports Partnerships Team, you will negotiate and manage partnerships with the top studio and sports leagues across YouTube and primetime channels.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Negotiate partnerships for YouTube's AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, PPV, FAST and PayTV services. 
  • Contribute to a high performing, diverse team that drives the success of YouTube’s Global MediaCo partnerships, while supporting a culture that encourages creative thinking and risk taking.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with a broad range of constituents, particularly in product, marketing, sales, and legal, as well as with external partners. 
  • Leverage industry experience to negotiate deals in alignment with cross-functional priorities.
  • Understand industry trends and market insights to adjust to changing circumstances.
